Having the mixture of both Near and FAR Infrared is relatively new to the sauna industry. The reader has to understand that an infrared sauna will make you sweat and has many health benefits, no matter what type of Infrared it is, it will still have many benefits. In a nutshell: Far Infrared is better for Heat therapy, deep relaxation, detox, improved circulation, cardiovascular simulation and sweating. Near infrared is good for the skin, cellular repair and regeneration and for sore joints and muscles, (But both Near and FAR are good for skin and joints and muscles) Both Near and FAR Infrared penetrate deeper than traditional Sauna heaters.
The full spectrum Infrared saunas have 2 Near Infrared heaters facing the user. If Near Infrared is good for the skin, then having them facing you makes a lot of sense. FAR Infrared is better when it is behind you and Near Infrared is better when it is in front of you.

The Full Spectrum Saunas use FAR and Near Infrared heaters. The Far Infrared heaters are Carbon Nano Ultra-Low EMF Heaters, and the NEAR Infrared are glass heaters with Visible light, so you will see the heaters glowing. These visible light heaters emit a hotter feel than the FAR infrared heaters.
